Bed Rest.............

Well I had some surprising news on Tuesday from my dr. I knew that my blood pressure had been starting to go a little wacky, because I was seeing sparkly floaters in my vision, my face, fingers, and ankles were swollen, and I had that familiar radiating abdominal pain I had with Luke. I went to the dr. last Friday, where they told me that I would have to take one of those fun 24 urine tests to check for protein. I never heard back from the dr. after taking the test, so I figured all was fine! Tuesday at 2:30 I went in for my dr.'s apt, where she started talking about my blood pressure, and how bad it got with Luke, and therefor she thought it would be good if I started bed rest since I am only 27 weeks, and we don't want it to get worse. That meant calling my work, and telling them I would be off for the remainder of my pregnancy, and going home and starting bed rest immediately. I am only able to to get up to shower, and sit up to eat meals, oh yeah of course to go to the bathroom. I can only leave the house once a week, for my weekly dr.'s apt. I was on bed rest for a little over a week at the end with Luke when they just decided the best thing was to deliver him at 36 weeks. We are hoping I can make it to at least 36 weeks this pregnancy. My family has already been great helping me, but I have a long road ahead. It will all be worth it to hold my precious little girl in my arms. Keep making posts to your blogs, so I have some fun stuff to read while lying on the couch! =)

Fall Fun!

Running from Daddy who is chasing him with leaves!
Mowing the lawn
Daddy set up his slide to end in a big pile of leaves
Leaf Fight!!
Gosh could he even see with his hat like that!

Little Luke has been enjoying fall a lot this year. He has been playing in the leaves almost everyday (boy he will be sad when Daddy rakes them up!), and Mommy took him to the Rader Pumpkin Patch on Tuesday. I grew up about 2 miles down the road from the Rader's so it is really neat that I can bring my son there to their Pumpkin Patch! He really enjoyed going there, and especially loved the play houses and the pumpkin doughnuts! I can't wait till we can carve our pumpkins, maybe tomorrow night. I am going to attempt a Mickey Mouse face, because Elmo looked too hard! haha! You can print pumpkin stencils off the internet for free, which I thought was pretty cool. Hope everyone is enjoying fall, and I hope we will see a few more sunny days coming up!
In other news we took Luke to see his first movie on Saturday, which was G-Force. He enjoyed the popcorn, Sprite and MandM's that we got him, and sat for a while and watched the movie. He couldn't make it through the whole thing, but did a pretty good job for a 2 1/2 year old boy! He talked about G-Force all summer, so we figured when it made it to the dollar theater we would take him! He also had what his dr. thinks was the Swine Flu last week, he is now recovered, and we hope that it was the Swine Flu, so we don't have to worry about him getting it again this season at least! We were worried about the little guy, but he got better pretty fast actually. He is also looking forward to being Buzz Lightyear for Halloween next week, and going to see The Imagination Mover's Live at the Assembly Hall in Champaign on November 2nd! We'll be sure to post pictures of Halloween and the Movers!

Lauryn Margaret is here!

My beautiful niece made her arrival yesterday October 13th at 4:40 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19 inches long. Her name is Lauryn Margaret. She is so adorable, she actually has a little bit of red in her hair, yeah for another red head in the family! Who knows what color it will actually turn out to be though! Her mommy is doing great! I couldn't believe how great she looked last night. ( I was a little jealous, haha!) Due to the very late hour I made it to the hospital last night, I didn't have a camera with me coming straight from work! You know I will post pics as soon as I have them though! Right now I am over the moon with my new niece here safe and sound. Now I will only have a few months until my daughter will join us, and I can't wait! =)

Luke's 2 1/2 year check up!

Luke went in for his 2 1/2 year check up today, and he did very well! Although he thought we were there for me, he told me to get up on the table, and show the nurse my tummy! The nurse and I both thought this was really funny. I then had to break it to him that we were there for him! I did tell a little white lie to him when I said there would be no shots, Dr. Luke recommended that he get his flu shot, so we did this year. So to make it up to him I took him to Dairy Queen to meet up with Daddy for lunch!
Stats-
Luke weighed in at 30 lbs. (not sure how many ounces) was 34 1/2 inches tall, and his head although I can't remember how big was in the 80th percentile. He is still our short and stout little boy with the chubby cheeks!

Happy 2nd Birthday Autumn Rose!

Happy 2nd birthday to my sweet niece Auttie (October 3rd)! I've had so much fun watching you grow these past two years, you are such a sweet natured little girl, and I love you! We had a great time at Autumn's party on Friday night, but I forgot my camera at the birthday girl's house, and it is still there today! I will post some pictures of the birthday when I get my camera back!

This tv show scared me last night

Rarely does anything scare me anymore, but when I was flipping through channels last night and caught the first 15 minutes or so of My Monkey Baby on TLC I was TERRIFIED! The show started out with this young couple acting like they were going to the hospital to have a real human baby, they had baby wipes, little clothes, newborn diapers, they knew it was going to be a girl etc. Then they go to this house to adopt a MONKEY! Yes, you read that right a monkey! A man from another couple said "I get mad when people refer to Jessica Marie as a monkey, she's not a monkey she's my daughter". With all of the children in the U.S. waiting to be adopted, there are people who would rather adopt monkeys instead! Frightening! I couldn't resist making a post about this creepy show, did anyone else see it? I turned off the t.v. and went to the basement to watch The Incredibles with my boys after that. What is this world coming to that people are bringing wild animals into their homes, and treating them like infants! Then TLC makes a show on it? Scary! Please feel free to comment!
