T-ball 2012

Luke played T-ball this summer, and Rob was the team's Coach.  Rob played Hudson ball after he moved here in 6th grade, so it was fun for him to coach his son now!  The kids were adorable, and had lots of fun playing!  Gabby had lots of fun playing with the Rader girls.  She couldn't wait to get there to play with them every game!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July!  We just stuck around the house most of the day and took the kids out for lunch at Steak and Shake.  When you are about 36 weeks pregnant, you don't feel much like being out and about in 104 degree weather!!  We did go over to Mom and Dad's for dinner, and then met up with The Snider's for the fireworks along with Mom and Dad!  You can tell how hot it was by looking at the pictures of the kids at the fireworks!!

Dells 2012

We made a kind of last minute trip up to the Dells for the only week in June we were free!  We stayed at the Hotel Rome at Mt. Olympus!  We had stayed there before, so we knew we would have a good time there.  The kids loved the water park and theme park that you get to play in for free with the hotel.  We stayed our first night at my mom and dad's Wisconsin house, which the kids loved.  From there we stayed 3 nights at the Dells.  Luke was go, go, go the whole trip!  He would be at the park from 10 a.m. when it opened till after 10 at night with Rob.  Gabby and I had to go back to the room to rest a few times in a day though.  I am glad we were able to get away for a short vacation before the baby comes!

He Lost His First Tooth!

Luke lost his first tooth already, just one month after turning 5!  He got his teeth really early, so I'm not sure if this might be why he lost the first teeth so early.  There is already 2 adult teeth coming in behind the two bottom front teeth.  The dentist hold to us that his bottom front teeth were a little loose last month at his cleaning, but I didn't think anything of it!   On Saturday we were watching Beethoven's 2nd on TV and he said my tooth is really wiggly!  I felt it and it was hanging by a thread, and the one next to it was really loose too!  We let him go the rest of the day with it hanging there, and got him all excited about the tooth fairy.  So that night he let me pull it the rest of the way.  We put it under his pillow and when he woke up there was a special 2 dollar bill under his pillow!  He will probably be getting another visit from the tooth fairy in a day or so when the other one comes out!

Here's the silly missing tooth boy!

Preschool Graduation!!!

Luke graduated from preschool Friday night!   We are so proud of him!  The school did a wonderful job making the graduation special for the kids and for the families!  They wore cap and gowns, sang songs, Pastor had a small sermon, they handed out the diplomas, and then there was a tear jerking DVD played.  As they got their diplomas their teacher announced the answers to two questions the kids had been asked earlier, when it was Luke's turn Miss Denise said "Luke wants to be just like his Daddy when he grows up, and he is excited about Kindergarten because Ryan will be there! (Ryan is his friend from preschool!)  I started to cry, because it was so sweet he wanted to be Daddy when he grew up, most kids said firefighter, rock star, princess, one little girl even said a Buffalo Wild Wings waitress, everyone got a good laugh out of that one.  By the end of the graduation I was sobbing, because the DVD was so sweet and pregnancy hormones don't help!  Luke has come a long way since the first day of preschool (we sent him at 4 for the first time), he cried every day after we left for a while.  Now he loves school! I would recommend Shining Lights Preschool to anyone, it is a great program! Now it is time for a fun filled summer break, and then on to Kindergarten!

Me and Rob's 10th wedding anniversary!

Rob and I had our 10th wedding anniversary on May 4th!  We've come a long way since we were those two 20 year old kids.  We had a great night out we went out to dinner at Station 220, and then went out for dessert, we came home and watched a movie we rented.  The kids stayed the night at Mimi and Papa's and had a blast!  I love you Rob and can't wait to have many more anniversaries with you!
